Africa Fashion and Culture Performance

Went to see the performance last night. Learned a lot about the attire and cloth style differences among different areas, nations and cultures in Africa. the patterns and prints symbols different area and nation, even tribe. definitely saw some of the patterns in olympic games. some designer's pieces are impressive.

learned about colonial history and its influence on local people's life and heart.When King became Chief, while Queen was still titled as Queen; When different tribes were crossed as one country on the map by colonists/conquerors, while the people never feel like one unit, still look the others as the others after hundreds year..

Human's history is a history of imposing and ignoring. And all the pains, after they fade from people's memory, they sink in the blood and bone. and yet this is how we survived and this is what formed our beings. China had been through these 160 years ago, and before that. people get used to be oblivious and moved on. life is easier this way. why bother to remember. this is our philosophy which lead us through the 5000 years bloodshed history, and i love it.
