visit there almost every fall.
this weekend is perfect for a trip to the national arboretum.
...
anyway, saw something scary and ridiculous..KOI..Cyprinus carpio......hundreds of fat, huge, greedy, hungry, competitive, crowed Koi in that pond...it is really disgusting...

in old times, in scholar's pond, people put 3-5 Koi in the pond, enjoy their color and shape, write poems, make fairy stories for them....now i am seeing them fight for food like flies or pigs. and so many of them, hundreds and hundreds in one pond..

it is JUST disgusting.
